Cutest Ghirardelli store south of San Francisco. Right next to the famous El Captain theater, great place to enjoy some sweets before your movie next door. Yes it's touristy, but not without reason and reputation. American chocolate classic right on the world famous Hollywood Blvd. even if you don't buy anything, come inside to see the Disney Ghirardelli store.

Glad this place is still around- the old fashioned soda fountain shop vibe is fun. They have a fun menu with chocolate drinks and desserts that are a perfect treat after a movie or dinner. Ordered a frozen hot chocolate after a long walk along the blvd. Service was good, everyone was friendly.

Place was great, very clean, my order came quickly and tasted fantastic. My only issue is I've been priced out of revisiting. We paid $50 for a banana split and brownie sundae. Very good but a little pricey for me.

If you ignore the fact that you're in LA, this store is a fun experience. The employees are friendly and helpful. Service is quick. There is a fair amount of indoor seating. Mild noise level. Restrooms are available. The Disney characters painted on the walls of the shop are a cute touch - the creepy fake Disney characters lingering outside...not as cute. Parking can be difficult since the shop is located on Hollywood Blvd - you can try to find street parking or there are expensive paid lots nearby. If you don't mind a 5 minute walk, there is intermittent free street parking (read the signs!) on Sunset Blvd. They offer a nice little selection of sundaes, drinks, and, of course, chocolates. There is also plenty of Disney merch throughout the store. The ice cream is good but not amazing. Prices are expectedly higher, but fair if you're after the Disney Sundae Series pins. Although I hate their location, I will most likely be back (if only for the pins).

The ice sundae and hot chocolate was great but a bit pricey though. The service was beautiful. The lady help me make a good selection because I'm Lactose intolerance so there weren't many choices to choose from. I took some pictures because I like wall pictures.

This is a mind-blowing and relaxing location. Beautiful, organized with the irresistible smell of chocolate. Hubby wanted to try their small sized hot chocolate. I wanted to taste it. It was awesome and very satisfying. My mom went with a non dairy got fudge sundae. I was very impressed by the fact that they had something on the menu for those who are lactose intolerant. Frances made my mom feel so special. She was very attentive and friendly. She understood my mom's concerns and didn't make her feel as though she was in the way. The way they organized the chocolate along with their gift packages entices you to want to purchase something. It's like a store slash museum setting with a dining area on the side. So beautiful!! I want to come back for the sights and to but some of my favorite chocolate and also pick up some for a friend.

I can't go to the Pantages, Dolby or El Capitan Theater, Jimmy Kimmel, Madame Tussauds without stopping at Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop. It is my favorite spot to enjoy the world famous hot fudge sundae. It is Vanilla ice cream with hot fudge topped with fluffy whipped cream,diced almonds then a cherry on the top with a square of Milk Chocolate Caramel. It is really so delicious and refreshing. I also got their double Chocolate Hot Cocoa mix, and my favorite assorted chocolate squares. I couldn't resist their chocolate chip cookies and their soft Brownie.They are always fresh and have intense chocolate flavor. They had pretty Disney Christmas ornaments, stocking, wreath and more, in addition to cute merchandise for Moana. The shop was very clean. The service was fast and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. I will be back soon.

PARKING: This location is on a strip mall so you either have to street park or park at The Ovation parking lot which is connected to the shopping center across this place iirc. But if you go to this location, make a day out of it. SEATING: Lots of seating but it'll get packed fast if there's a popular movie showing next doot. SERVICE: Great service! The CMs are always so friendly and helpful. FOOD: I got a banana split ($19.95) that has all the works. 3 scoops: chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, which are topped with hot fudge, sliced strawberries, pineapple. This is all sandwiched between a banana topped with whipped cream, nuts, and a cherry on top. It was so good to end the day with! The quality of ingredients always fresh and yummy! OVERALL: Definitely a recommended if you're walking around Hollywood for the day. Always such a nice treat!
